1. The service is a new website
The R99 monthly subscription provides one new managed business website using T Bruce Studio's standard website structure, based on the proven Windermere Cottage layout system.
The service is not a repair, redesign, migration, takeover, maintenance contract or hosting takeover for an existing website. T Bruce Studio does not undertake to fix an old website, move its code, preserve its design or maintain its existing platform under the R99 service.
2. Using an existing website as an information source
If the client supplies a public existing website URL, T Bruce Studio may read publicly accessible information from that site to prefill the setup form and reduce retyping.
Imported information is a convenience only. It may be incomplete or outdated and the client must review and correct it before purchase. T Bruce Studio does not automatically copy the old site's design, source code, photographs, logo files or protected wording. The client must separately upload or authorise any assets to be used on the new website.
3. What is included
The monthly service includes the agreed standard website, hosting, keeping the website online during an active paid period and normal technical upkeep.
The standard website may include the client's approved business name, short description, services or products, contact details, address or service area, opening hours, approved photographs, logo, social links and simple customer-action links such as WhatsApp, phone, email or an existing third-party booking page.
Factual corrections required before launch are included so that the published website reflects the approved information.
4. Work beyond the standard website
Extra pages, e-commerce, online payment integrations, bespoke booking systems, custom software, complex forms, integrations, major redesigns, substantial content changes, ongoing copywriting, marketing management, advertising and ongoing SEO campaigns are not included in the R99 monthly fee.
Additional work may be quoted separately before it is performed.
5. Client content and permissions
The client is responsible for confirming that published business details are accurate and for having permission to use any logo, photographs, reviews, text or other material supplied for publication.
6. Preview and final build
The setup-page preview shows the intended standard structure and the client's supplied content direction before payment. It is an indicative preview, not a promise that every spacing, image crop or line break will be identical in the final website.
T Bruce Studio may make reasonable layout, wording, responsive and technical adjustments so the final website works properly within the standard system.
7. Payment and active periods
The subscription is R99 per month and is payable monthly in advance. The first paid period begins when the first payment is verified and the agreed website is made eligible for public launch.
The service is month-to-month. Renewal is required for each future paid period.
8. No pay, no public website
If the next R99 payment has not been verified when the current paid period ends, T Bruce Studio may suspend the public website until a new paid period is activated.
An unpaid future month does not buy continued hosting and does not create an automatic debt for that future month.
9. Web addresses and domains
An agreed T Bruce Studio web address is available as part of the standard service and does not require a separate domain purchase.
If the client already owns a compatible domain, T Bruce Studio may connect it to the new website where the required DNS access is available. The domain remains the client's property and the client remains responsible for registrar renewal charges.
If the client wants T Bruce Studio to register a new domain, that is an optional extra. Availability, registration cost and renewal cost are confirmed separately before any domain is purchased. The R99 subscription does not include third-party domain registration or renewal fees.
10. Website files and intellectual property
The subscription provides use of the hosted website service. It is not an instalment purchase of T Bruce Studio source code, templates, design systems, hosting accounts or build files.
The client retains ownership of original content it supplied and had the right to use. Unless separately agreed in writing, the underlying website system and source materials remain T Bruce Studio intellectual property.
11. Third-party services
Links to WhatsApp, Google, social networks, booking platforms, maps, registrars or other third-party services remain subject to those providers' own terms, availability and fees. T Bruce Studio does not control third-party outages or account decisions.
12. Search and commercial results
The website may include sensible technical and on-page search basics. T Bruce Studio does not guarantee rankings, traffic, enquiries, bookings, sales or other commercial results.
13. Cancellation and price changes
The service is month-to-month. The client may cancel before the next renewal period. A voluntarily cancelled paid period is not normally refunded in part unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Any future price change or material service change applies only to a future paid period and will be communicated in advance.
14. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms is intended to remove a right that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable South African law. Where legislation gives the client a stronger right, that legal right applies.
