The real problem

ECD work is connected. The paperwork usually is not.

Planning, attendance, observations, permissions, safety records and reporting often live in different places. ECD Ready SA keeps the everyday workflow together so evidence captured once can be used again.

Inside the workspace

Built around what a centre actually has to do.

Planning

Birth-to-Four daily plans

Four age bands, four terms and a practical five-day rhythm with materials, actions and observation prompts.

Attendance

Daily register + monthly view

Record attendance quickly and retain a clear centre-level monthly record.

Observation

Factual evidence by ELDA

Capture what was actually observed during play, routines and planned experiences.

Reporting

Evidence-bounded learner summaries

Summaries use stored observations. Missing evidence stays visible instead of being invented.

Centre records

Parents, safety, medicine and staff

Keep permissions, incidents, medicine, drills and staff evidence in the same workspace.

Readiness

See what is on file

Track key centre evidence and outstanding actions without implying certification.

Curriculum context

Built around South Africa's Birth-to-Four NCF.

The workspace uses the six ELDAs to support play-based planning, observation and reporting in a practical centre workflow.

Important boundary

Independent resource. Not official approval.

ECD Ready SA organises implementation and evidence. It does not register, certify or approve a centre; official requirements remain with the relevant authorities.

For the whole centre

Clear daily roles. Clear owner oversight.

Practitioner

Do the daily work.

  • Open the plan
  • Mark attendance
  • Capture observations
  • Update essential learner and safety records

Centre owner / manager

  • Review centre feedback
  • Maintain staff evidence
  • Track readiness actions

Release-candidate QA

Stress-tested before asking a centre to trust it.

A synthetic 48-learner centre was run across all four age bands and 20 operating days, including sparse-evidence cases designed to test reporting guardrails.

Designed not to overclaim

AI assists the wording. Evidence stays in charge.

No diagnosis

Not a medical or developmental diagnostic tool.

No invented progress

No evidence means no generated developmental claim.

No automatic certification

Readiness evidence is organised, not certified.

Human review remains

Practitioners retain final judgement and wording.

Questions before you start

ECD Ready SA FAQs

Is ECD Ready SA DBE-approved?

No. It is an independent Modern Schoolhouse resource built around the official Birth-to-Four NCF and does not imply DBE endorsement.

Does it register my ECD centre?

No. It organises evidence and next actions; official registration and location-specific requirements remain with the relevant authorities.

What if there is not enough observation evidence for a report?

The gap stays visible. Missing evidence is not turned into a negative judgement or an invented developmental statement.

What does access cost?

Release-candidate access is free through 31 December 2026. Continued access is R50 per authorised user per month or R600 per authorised user per year.
